Quick answers below. If you don't find what you need, email contact@lectis.ai — we read everything.
Installing
Chrome
Search "Save to Lectis" in the Chrome Web Store and click Add to Chrome. The L icon will appear in your toolbar.
Firefox
Visit addons.mozilla.org and search "Save to Lectis." Click Add to Firefox.
Safari (macOS)
Search "Lectis for Safari" in the Mac App Store. Install the containing app, launch it once, then go to Safari → Settings → Extensions and enable Save to Lectis.
iOS
Search "Lectis" in the App Store and tap Get.
Signing in
Click the L toolbar icon and choose "Sign in with Google." Lectis only signs in to accounts that already exist — if you haven't made one yet, follow the link the extension shows you to create one.
Saving an article
Click the L toolbar icon while you're reading the article. A preview of the title and URL appears with a Save button. Click it; the page is added to your library. The icon turns green to confirm.
You can also right-click anywhere on the page and pick Save to Lectis from the context menu, or use the keyboard shortcut Cmd+Shift+L (Ctrl+Shift+L on Windows / Linux).
Reading saved articles
From the web app
Go to app.lectis.ai and sign in. Click Saved Articles in the sidebar. Each article shows the source domain, title, and how long ago you saved it.
From the Chrome side panel
Right-click the L toolbar icon → Open Lectis side panel. Your saved list appears in the side panel; click any article to read inline without leaving your current tab.
From iOS
Open the Lectis app and tap the Saved tab.
Bulk-deleting articles
In the web app's Saved Articles list, tick the checkbox next to each article you want to remove (or use the Select All checkbox in the header), then click Delete.
Deleting your account
Email contact@lectis.ai from the email address you signed in with. We delete the account and all associated data within 7 days.
Common problems
"Only http(s) URLs can be saved"
You're on a non-savable page like chrome://, about:, or the Chrome new-tab page. Navigate to a real article and try again.
"Sign-in not configured" in the popup
The extension build you installed didn't have the Google client ID baked in. Re-download from the official store listing.
Saved an article but images are missing
The page may have used JS-loaded images that Readability.js dropped during extraction, or the origin host blocked our image cacher. The text body is still saved; you can always click Open original in the reader.
Privacy questions
See the privacy policy for full disclosures. The short version: we collect what you explicitly save, plus your Google profile email/name/picture. We never read pages you don't save, your browsing history, or anything outside Lectis.
